Tata group’s Titan Company said on Tuesday, 6 October 2026, that its consumer businesses grew 25% year-on-year in the July–September quarter of FY27. The Titan Q2 update, filed with the stock exchanges, showed domestic businesses up 22% and the international business up 97%. The company added 78 stores on a net basis, taking its consumer retail network to 3,758 stores at the end of September.
Jewellery grows 21% despite late-quarter softness
The jewellery business grew about 21%. Titan said demand was healthy for most of the quarter but softened towards the end because the festive calendar shifted into the October–December period. Studded jewellery grew in the early thirties, helped by its ‘Festival of Diamonds’ campaign, while plain gold jewellery rose around 20%. Investment-led demand for gold coins fell by a high single digit against a high base.
Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and beYon together grew 20%, while CaratLane grew 32%. The jewellery division added 42 net stores, taking its count to 1,269. The number of buyers rose by a mid-single-digit percentage, but average ticket sizes grew by double digits.
EyeCare, emerging brands and overseas markets
EyeCare grew about 28% and ended the quarter with 847 stores. Emerging businesses grew 21%, with fragrances up in the mid-thirties, women’s bags in the twenties and the Taneira sarees brand in the high single digits. The watches business added 34 stores to reach 1,379.
Overseas, the international jewellery businesses of Tanishq, Mia and CaratLane kept up strong double-digit growth in North America, and the Gulf business held up despite geopolitical volatility. The international figures include Damas Jewellery, in which Titan holds 67% and which it began consolidating in January 2026.
Titan Q2 update puts the stock in focus
Titan shares had closed Tuesday’s session 1.3% lower at ₹4,540 on the BSE before the update was reported in the evening, putting the stock in focus for Wednesday’s trade. The company said the quarterly figures are provisional and subject to a limited review by its statutory auditors.
