Rajasthan cabinet passes resolution hailing PM Modi’s 25 years as head of government

The Rajasthan cabinet on 14 October 2026 passed a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years as head of government, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma told reporters in Jaipur. Modi took oath as Gujarat chief minister on 7 October 2001 and became prime minister in May 2014.

Bhajanlal Sharma lists roads, water and Rising Rajasthan

Sharma said nine greenfield expressways covering over 2,750 km are being built in the state, and the Rs 11,764 crore Jaipur Ring Road (North) will be completed with central help. He said the Ram Jal Setu Link Project will supply drinking water to more than three crore people in 17 districts and irrigate nearly four lakh hectares. Of Rs 35 lakh crore in Rising Rajasthan investment agreements, projects worth over Rs 9 lakh crore are being implemented.

Solar energy and power claims

Rajasthan ranks first in India for solar energy capacity, with 39.36 GW installed, and second in overall renewable energy, Sharma said. The DIPR note added that over 5 lakh families have registered under PM Surya Ghar and daytime power for farmers now reaches 26 districts. He also named the Pachpadra refinery, Jaipur Metro Phase-2 and the Mahi Banswara nuclear power project as major schemes. ThePrint (PTI) reported the same figures.

Rajasthan cabinet resolution on jobs and welfare

On employment, Sharma said the government has made 1.93 lakh appointments, with recruitment under way for 1.18 lakh more posts. He claimed more than 410 recruitment exams have been held without paper leaks. Welfare points included raising farmer support under PM-Kisan to Rs 9,000 a year, 3.82 lakh rural houses and cheaper LPG cylinders for 75 lakh families. Deputy CMs Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa attended the briefing.

Why It Matters: The resolution doubles as the state government's report card, and its project claims on jobs, water and power will be tested on the ground.
