Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion stormed the box office on its 2 October release, crossing roughly ₹62.44 crore India nett by 9 pm according to trade live updates — already above Shah Ruki Khan’s Pathaan Day-1 nett of about ₹57 crore and shaping up as Devgn’s biggest opener. The Gandhi Jayanti holiday, blistering advances above ₹50 crore and upbeat word of mouth combined to pack multiplexes from morning shows onward.

Advances convert; NCR leads the charge

Pre-sales that opened on 27 September had already put Day-1 advances near the top of 2026’s Hindi chart, with more than a million tickets sold before the first show. Morning occupancy hovered near 40% nationally and higher in many Tier-2/3 centres; by evening, trackers spoke of 55%+ occupancy across roughly 18,000 shows. Abhishek Pathak’s finale reunites Devgn with Tabu, Shriya Saran and adds Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Saurabh Shukla. Largely positive reviews helped evening shows fill after morning word of mouth.
