Hostel mess checks and school canteens

Places checked included MGPS Vidyadhar Nagar, SMS School, IIS University, a Flipkart dark store and the Aradhana Girls Hostel mess. Canteen operators were told to add healthy, balanced food to children’s menus and avoid junk food. Food Safety Commissioner Avichal Chaturvedi said checks will continue.

Why It Matters: Children eat daily in school canteens and hostel messes, so regular checks are a direct shield against food poisoning.
