Jaipur Police have arrested two men allegedly linked to an investment fraud running into about ₹100 crore, seizing a Mercedes valued near ₹1.25 crore and freezing a fixed deposit of ₹1 crore, officials said on Friday. DCP (South) Rajarshi Raj named the accused as Mohit Kaloxa, 27, arrested in Gurugram, and Ghanshyam Kandel, 35, held after a follow-up raid, in a case registered at Sodala police station.

Fake portals, property and crypto promises
Investigators say the gang lured investors through websites promising high returns on property and cryptocurrency products under entities such as Easy Way Homes. Complainant Rishi Mehta told police he was promised quick profits and later found roughly ₹4 crore at risk when the operators absconded. Linked FIRs at Chitrakoot, Cyber Crime, Chomu and Sodala stations sketch a multi-crore pattern across months of 2026, with individual case figures ranging from tens of lakhs to nearly ₹89 crore in one registration.

Police recovered computers, laptops and phones alongside the luxury car, and said forensic mapping of money trails and mule accounts is underway. The bust follows this week’s separate fake Apple call-centre raid, underscoring a busy fortnight for Jaipur cyber and economic-offences teams.
What victims should do
Officers urged investors who dealt with similar portals to approach Sodala or cyber cells with transaction proofs. Case detail is in Bhaskar English.
Economic offences wings are mapping mule accounts across Gurugram and Jaipur to see whether the same operators recycled investor lists from earlier property-scheme FIRs.

High-visibility asset seizures rarely end a fraud book — the next test is charge sheets that survive trial scrutiny.
