Sensex Nifty weekly gain ends eight-week losing streak

The Sensex Nifty weekly performance turned positive for the first time in nine weeks, Mint and Upstox reported. The Sensex rose 562.63 points, or 0.78%, to 72,472.33 in the week to 9 October.

Sensex Nifty weekly numbers

The Nifty 50 gained 98.50 points, or 0.44%, to 22,520.45, according to Mint. The rise ended an eight-week losing streak for both indices. IT, FMCG, public sector banks and financial stocks led the gains, DSIJ reported.
