Amity University is scheduled to announce the launch of the Amity Global Research Hub in New York on August 21.
The initiative represents an effort to expand the university’s international research presence and build connections with academic and research communities in the United States.
International research hubs can support collaboration between universities, researchers and industry. They can also create opportunities for joint projects, knowledge exchange and academic networking.
For Indian universities, overseas research centres can provide a platform for building stronger relationships with global institutions and attracting researchers to collaborative programmes.
The New York location is particularly significant because the city is home to major universities, businesses and research organisations. The initiative comes as Indian higher-education institutions increasingly seek greater international engagement through research, innovation and academic partnerships.
